This piece of furniture, designed by renowned Danish designer Hans Wegner, is a beautiful example of mid-century modern design. The model, known as 'RY-20', was manufactured by RY Møbler in Denmark and is dated 13 May 1957, as marked on the back.

 Material and Construction

 The piece of furniture is made of a combination of oak and teak, which gives it a warm and natural look. The base cabinet contains six drawers, ideal for storing various items. The top cabinet has two sliding doors, behind which shelves are placed for extra storage. This combination of drawers and shelves makes the piece of furniture both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

 Shape and Model
 
The design of the 'RY-20' is characterized by clean lines and a minimalist design, typical of the mid-century modern style. The cabinet stands on slender, tapered legs that enclose the cabinet in its entirety. The open space between the base and top cabinet gives the furniture an airy and spacious feel, while the wooden finish exudes a sense of warmth and first-class craftsmanship.

 Condition

 This piece of furniture comes directly from the first owners who have cherished this cabinet for decades, it has recently been prepared for a second life with great care in our own workshop. The cabinet is both optically and technically in a very nice condition.
