• Marjolein Delhaas

Marjolein Delhaas is a graphic designer from Rotterdam who strives for work that is functional, but also catches the eye. Her never-ending search for minimalism in layout, typography, paper and color results in work that can be described as raw industrial without ever losing a touch of sophistication. Bold typography versus a thin elegant line.

    Susan Bijl

Susan created the first design and prototype in 2000, after her studies at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. Her mission was to replace the disposable plastic bag and reduce the associated waste production. Taking the classic shape of the plastic bag as a starting point, Susan made it even more functional by making the side folds deeper, adding more volume.

At her local kite shop she discovered the benefits of ripstop nylon. Strong but thin, lightweight, with an almost paper-thin texture and available in many colours. She added her iconic 'Flash'; a diagonal stripe that points positively upwards, to add a contrasting colour to her design. The Flash has appeared on every bag design since.

    Wow

Long before the Tier0, Quickstrike and Statement accounts existed, Woei was part of the most skilled skate group that dominated the streets of Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Nijmegen around 2000. Unlike modern-day skate groups that make a name for themselves by participating in tournaments or releasing skate footage, the infamous consortium, also known as “Fret Click”, was all about good vibes and enjoying their time together. This sincere but uncompromising approach seemed to pay off, as high-ranking Nike representatives rewarded the group with their very own Nike SB Air Zoom FC “Fret Click”. The limited release sneaker for skaters by skaters commemorated their mantra of “The Click never dies” in the form of a collectible and most importantly skateable sneaker.
